The archaeology of the Library

The Library was discovered at several sites over a very long period, most of which pre-dates the invention of modern archaeology. Nevertheless, there is a lot of information that can be gleaned from contemporary reports, and from analysis of the finds. This section sets out in brief the history of excavations at Nineveh.
