It is [the wo]rding of a lifted-hand prayer to Tashmetu. Its ritual: a censer of juniper

you place [be]fore Tashmetu. You libate first-rate beer and reci[te] this recitation.

Incantation: Mighty scion, son of Enlil,

Most supreme, [per]fect one, progeny of Eshara,

Who is [clo]thed with fear, filled with terro[r],

"Storm of the South," whose onslaught [cannot be] opposed,

[Whose (celestial) po]sition is resplendent among the great gods,

In Ekur, the house of cele[br]ations, your head is high.

Enlil, your father, gave you,

Executive power over all the gods is held in your hand.

You pass judgment upon the people.

You secure justice for the misguided, the orphaned boy and girl.

You take the hand of the powerless, you raise up the helpless.

You return the body (lit. his body) of the one being made to descend into the netherworld.

You forgive the guilt of the one who ha[s inc]urred guilt.

You restore peace quickly to the one whose (personal) god is angry with him.

O Ninurta, foremost of the gods, you (are) the hero.

I, so-and-so, whose god is so-and-so, whose personal goddess is so-and-so,

Have set up a ritual arrangement for you. I have strewn flour for you.

I have strewn inc[en]se for you, a sweet fragrance.

I have libated swe[et] ale for you, beer made from (lit. of) grain.

May the gods of the (Path of) Enlil st[an]d with you.

May the gods, those of Ekur, st[an]d with you.

Look upon me with due favor [and hear] my speaking.
