1The reading of this section assumes that ušēšum and ušeštum are OB forms of ušāšum and ušaštum and that all of these are related to ašāšu (bird nest). The Sumerian equivalent of ašāšu is azad (shelter, nest), which has a variety of writings including A.LAGAB×HAL.ŠU₂. A similar Sumerian sign sequence is also used for a plant in OB Ura 4 and parallels ({u₂}a-bu₄-šu₂ and other writings), which has a second entry with gaz, as in the present passage.
