2After Imgur-Enlil, Nbk. 13 (C28) i 11 adds BÀD ba-bi-lam.KI, “the wall of Babylon.” After la ṭa-ḫe-e, “cannot come near,” Nbk. 13 i 12–13 adds ša ma-na-a-ma šar ma-aḫ-ri la i--šu, “(I did something) that no king of the past had done.” In lieu of BÀD da-núm e-pu-, “I built a fortified wall,” Nbk. 13 i 15–18 has BÀD da-núm BA.LA.RI dUTU.È ba-bi-lam.KI ú-ša-às-ḫi-ir₄ ḫi-ri-su aḫ-re-e-ma šu-pu-ul -e ak-šu-ud, “I had (Babylon) surrounded with a fortified wall on the eastern bank. I dug out its moat and reached the water table.”
